Aldis Browne has been advising collectors and collections since he founded Aldis Browne Fine Arts, Inc. in New York in 1972 and in California in 1986.
In addition to advising private collectors, Aldis Browne consulted with the White Bus Company in assembling a major cubist collection, arranged its international museum tour and ultimately oversaw the resale of the collection at a substantial profit when the company was liquidated. He built an important collection of Andy Warhol for Yorikatsu Mitsui which was resold within less than five years at almost threefold cost. He formed an Ed Ruscha collection for Seibu Department Stores in Tokyo. He assisted Vincent Price in the sale of part of his collection.
Browne has consulted with Esmark, Inc. and Ashland Oil Co. in building their art collections. He helped San Antonio's McNay Museum focus their extensive print collection, and exhibited their collection in his New York gallery. His museum clients include The Museum of Modern Art and the Solomon Guggenheim Museum in New York, The Australian National Gallery, The deYoung Museum in San Francisco, The Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York and The J. Paul Getty Museum in Los Angeles.
